Rock & Rollin with Semi Precious Weapons

Damn these guys were fun on Friday night, the venue felt half empty until they sucked everyone towards the stage and unleashed some serious rock & roll moves.  Great times!

Praise be it's Friday, my brain has bascially melted and I'm er going to watch Lady Gaga.

Here's a shot that's in this months Fly mag of Ellie Goulding's last day in the studio.  the producer mentioned that this was an upgrade, most of the record was made in his mum's house and it smelled of cat pee. cat pee!

and here's a random office, very box fresh...

and here's a shot from opening night of the gaga tour in Manchester, it was nuts!

Oh! Inverted World March 18th - Viva La Club Maraca!!!!!

Hot off the press is the latest flyer I've laid up for Oh Inverted World, and the last one before I head to Japan for three months on 23rd March.  Like OMFG!  It's a bit mexican day of the dead and based on scan from an old Graphis (think from about 1966).  Seriously Old Graphis annuals are the most amazing cultural time warps, if anyone has any they want to sell let me know.  The few I have were being chucked at work and I rescued them from the tip.

OIW 18th March will be a massive party, there's sets from Slow Moving Millie, Ivan Ink Pen's first full band set and a mystery awesome headline act. wowzers.

The Maccabees _ NME Show / Brixton Academy

Amazing venue, amazing band but the lights were soooooo low! I'm not talking atmosphere low, it was darkness!

Old Contax _ Michael Jackson Shrine

I spent yesterday evening doing my normal Sunday thang, scanning in photos and watching a film (A Prophet - visceral, intense and strangely beautiful).

Had totally forgotten about these, some late night photos of an impromptu Michael Jackson shrine outside the London theatre where Thriller was playing.  Was instantly struck by the sense of time and place I got from looking at them, it was a hot muggy summers evening, full of fun and heading home when we came upon this.  I liked his music and all but felt so disconnected from the sense of loss some people so obviously felt.

Anyway 6months too late here's some shots...

Frisbee Fred Morrison RIP

Imagine inventing the frisbee?  Finding a cake tin, throwing it around on a beach and then selling the idea to a company called Wham-O, it's brilliant!

Fred Morrison passed away today age 90, throw some frisbee love around this weekend.
